Donald Trump once again took a swipe at Barack Obama during one of his rallies earlier this week.
While targeting the Democratic candidates, the POTUS seemingly reminded everyone of the birther theory that he started years ago. At that time, the president forced the ex-POTUS to release a copy of his birth certificate to prove that he was born in the United States.
And when Barack managed to do so, the POTUS tweeted about it casually and encouraged everyone to move on. But despite already being proven that he was wrong to think that the former president isn’t from the US, the POTUS reignited his birther theory at the rally.
He told his supporters that his middle name is John, which is an all-American name. Barack’s middle name, on the other hand, is Hussein which has Arab or Muslim roots.
It is unclear what Trump’s goal was for mentioning Barack at his rally since the latter isn’t campaigning against him at the upcoming elections. But Obama’s supporters immediately came to his defense by accusing Trump of jealousy.
“Steve, this economy would not be where it is if Barack Hussein Obama hadn’t got it going. You [expletive] Trump doesn’t have a clue. His tax cuts worked for high and not middle-income workers. Cutting regulations without concerns for the water and health of people is criminal,” Twitter user @DicostanzoNick said.
“Donald John Trump is a traitor. Barack Hussein Obama was a great president. Enough said,” Twitter user @SmithUsmith said.
“Donald John Trump is a pathological liar, xenophobic and racist, corrupt and thinks he’s above the law. And an impeached president forever! President Barack Hussein Obama is not!” Twitter user @kenzogonzalez22 said.
